ORSOL TEAM - SPRING 2025
The Vertically Integrated Project - Operational Research Solutions Team (ORSOL) was founded in the Spring of 2023 by Dr. Xing Wang, currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Quantitative Methods Area of the Daniels School of Business at Purdue University, in collaboration with SAS Institute. SAS Institute, renowned for its cutting-edge analytics software and solutions, has been instrumental in empowering organizations worldwide with advanced data processing and analysis capabilities.
Data Processing
Created a CALTRANS PEMS Data Crawler (Python). Compatible for SAS Viya for Learners Features (Model/Forecasting Studio).
Forecasting
With Forecasting Horizon 12 hours (720 Datasets) -> 10.12% WMAPE. Champion Model: Stacked (NN + TS).
Optimization
Investigated Real Time Pricing & Linear Programming Methods. Formulate equation for preliminary testing.
External Achievements
SAS Curiosity Cup Challenge (Top 2/107) -> Finalists. Spring Undergraduate Research Conference -> Selected as Oral Presentation (Based on Abstract Submission).
